Start of construction at Gotitas

Poverty parallels with luxury in the beautiful Andean resort of Bariloche where Gotitas de Esfuerzos offers a daily hot meal to 200 children and adults living in extreme poverty.  Space being minimal , the meals cannot be consumed on site.   We recently funded half the cost of the materials needed to add some additional space to the existing building.   This extension will include a dining area where the elderly will be able to eat their meal rather than carry it home.  The new addition will create one bath and three small bedrooms  providing temporary shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Construction work is provided on a voluntary basis by supervised inmates from the local penitentiary and the new graduates of a Bariloche construction school.
