2010 Campaigns
Peru

As a result of an unexpected and larger than normal rainfall, floods and mudslides have occurred in the central Andes of Peru causing the loss of homes, crops, and animals. 80,000 people are homeless and in need of everything. Among the many sad consequences, it is feared that school enrollment will drop as a result of loss of income. Global Legacy Programs' April humanitarian aid trip to Cusco will deliver school supplies and food. Space is still available for those wanting to join the trip. You can also support our volunteers by making a donation that will be applied to the purchase of food they will hand deliver
Thank you for your much needed support. Do not let the idea that large donations are needed prevent you from contributing. $5.00 will provide a family with enough rice and beans and some powder milk for an entire week.

Haiti

No photos. We have already seen so many heartbreaking ones.
The new disaster that hit Haiti is of such magnitude that everyone we have known and every project we have supported in Haiti has suffered deaths and losses. Volunteers have been killed and an American Airlines’ agent, Maryse, who is known to all our volunteers, lost her house. To all our mission participants who delivered aid to many orphanages this summer this tragedy is not just a newspaper headline, it has the faces of all the friends and the many good people we were privileged to have met and worked with and who are now suffering or have been killed.
It is impossible for a small organization like ours to participate in the initial relief effort. The Red Cross and other major charitable groups are needed at this time. However, this will change in a few weeks. Our plan is to adopt just one of the orphanages we have helped in the past, but to stay with the project until the children have again a safe place to live. We will keep you informed of all progress from start to end. As a donor, you will know where your funds are going and see the faces of the children your generosity will benefit.
You can also help us by spreading the word. So many people would like to help but hesitate when it comes to giving to charitable giants. Many are often more inclined to donate to a smaller organization and a small project that they can follow from start to satisfying end.
